Sandy is an experienced early childhood educator and looks forward to working with parents and all our North Country child care providers. Her office is located at the White Mountains Community College Berlin campus, but Sandy travels all over the North Country with the goal of helping families with child care needs, helping child care providers with training needs, and assisting those who wish to provide family child care in their homes. According to Sandy, her favorite part of her job is visiting families and centers and meeting child care providers. Sandy was the Director of the Genesis Child Care program for 5 years, has been a preschool teacher in the WMCC Child Care Program, and is excited about sharing her knowledge. Sandy's passion is providing guidance for families looking for child care and setting up exciting workshops for parents and providers. Sandy likes to point out that the college library has a wonderful collection of CCRRR&T resources, including books and videos, accessible to anyone. Materials can be obtained by your local state library through inter-library loan. Check out the upcoming workshops and look for an increasing variety of workshops and credit courses in future DCE brochures.
This program was created to address the many needs and answer the many questions surrounding child care. As part of a state and nationwide organization, CCRRR&T is able to provide a wide array of services.
What makes CCRRR&Ts unique? Our ability to gather information to better understand family needs allows us to be a major source of information about the local supply, cost, and issues of child care. CCRRR&T collaborates with other family support services to promote a holistic vision of child care that includes health, literacy, and special needs. By providing resources, documenting community needs, and creating new ways to meet those needs, CCRRR&T brings the voices of children, families, and child care providers to the public.
Sandy's office is on the Berlin campus, Room 106. She is available for consultations, educational resources, and child care site visits. Sandy can be reached by phone, in person, or by e-mail. All services to parents, child care providers, and the community are free of charge. Child Care training workshops are published on our webpage, in our DCE catalog, and quarterly in the Child Care Newsletter. If you are interested in receiving a newsletter call or e-mail Sandy.
To register for any workshop offered by CCRRR&T, call Sandy at (603) 752-1113 x1063 or 1-800-445-4525, extension 1063.
